The wet-heat processing (WHP) is an important dress-making process. As a way to fashion your garments in a good-quality manner, you have to use various tools for pressing. There are special wooden Tailor’s Boards which allow to achieve required effects; and what is more, there are perfect tools for the WHP — cushions for pressing.
Even if you have a great deal of the wooden Tailor’s Boards, you may still need cushions for the WHP.
And one of them is the Cushion for the WHP known as Sausage or Tailor’s Seam Roller.
What is the purpose of the Seam Roller?
The rounded form of the Seam Roller makes it possible to protect the front side of the garment so that allowances shouldn’t be printed on it. With this Tailor’s Roller, it is convenient to completely press out sleeves, especially if they are tight and do not fit in the Sleeve Board.
The Tailor’s Seam Roller has a dense double-layer outer cover, which prevents the migration of shavings along its length and breadth. The inner layer is made from coarso calico; the exterior one is made from a 100% flax cloth.
The Cushion is manually filled with shavings produced from beech tree (a broadleaved wood species), which are of our own manufacturing; this allows to accumulate heat and moisture ensuring a fast cooling of products while shaping them as required.
Seam Roller Large: Length — 40 cm, Breadth — 12 cm, Length of circumference — 28 cm.
Seam Roller Small: Length — 40 cm, Breadth — 9 cm, Length of circumference — 22 cm.
