The Tailor’s Board Shoulder Silhouette Anatomic-Shaped is used for the WHP of shoulder units from dress-and-blouse, suit, and coat groups. 

The Board replicates the anatomic shape of a shoulder and has an excellent height of 42 cm which makes it convenient in use.

Functionality:

• WHP of shoulder areas;
• WHP of caps of set-in sleeves;
• WHP of shoulder darts; 
• shrinking along caps of set-in sleeves (when needed);
• shrinking of arm holes before stitching in sleeves (when needed);
• shaping of collars before stitching in neck holes;
• WHP of front sides;
• WHP of lapels (shaping break lines of lapels);
• WHP of all kinds of darts;
• WHP of reliefs;
• WHP of men’s garments with bespoke-technology;
• final WHP of shoulder units (with or without linings).

You can even make this Board suitable for processing raglan sleeves*.

The ideal thing about this is that the performing of the WHP will be as comfortable and fast as possible, but not in a way as it happens with an ironing board which just does not allow to properly process shoulder and sleeve areas – by any measure =) And even if you have a mannequin, it should not help you. You know that mannequins are designated for other operations: fitting, draping on the stand, modelling, adjustment, steam processing of end products, but they have nothing to do with the treatment of complex units during the manufacturing process. These operations can be handled only with the special equipment for the WHP — with the Tailor’s Boards. 

The Shoulder Tailor’s Board is made of tough wood from among broadleaved species — beech/ash/alder tree; during the WHP, it does not produce any resins (as coniferous species do) and does not colour garments (as is the case with oak tree). Our Boards are not filled with anything — no shavings, sawdust, padding, felt etc. The working platform of the Board is entirely made of a single piece of wood (a solid wood monolith); it is also upholstered with foam and 100% cotton. All the fabrics used are thoroughly checked and are fading-resistant. If you need the Board in other colours — it should not be a problem for us to fulfil your dream.

The Board is available in two modifications: the women’s and the men’s ones.

Size of the women’s shoulder: length of the working platform — 22 cm, breadth of the working platform — from 14 to 11,5 cm, height of the working platform — from 11,5 to 8,5 cm — narrowing down towards the front part, overall height — 46 cm.

Size of the men’s shoulder: length of the working platform — 22 cm, breadth of the working platform — from 15 to 12 cm, narrowing down towards the front part, overall height — 46 cm.
